Dr. D. R. Prasanna Kumar is an environmental scientist, wildlife researcher, and education leader whose career seamlessly integrates nature conservation with transformative education. With more than two decades of experience, he has worked with renowned organisations including the Centre for Environment Education (CEE), Azim Premji Foundation, and Caring with Colour — A Manasi Kirloskar Initiative.
He has played a pivotal role in designing environmental education curricula, developing teacher leadership programmes, and strengthening school education across Karnataka. A passionate wildlife conservationist, his doctoral research focused on Blackbuck ecology, and he has actively contributed to biodiversity documentation, conservation planning, and nature education. Dr. Prasanna Kumar also serves on various state-level committees related to education, biodiversity, and the National Education Policy, promoting sustainability as an integral part of learning.
