Prof. G. Hariramamurthi is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU), Bengaluru, and a distinguished public health professional with more than four decades of experience in community health, environmental sustainability, and traditional knowledge systems. Throughout his career, he has pioneered innovative initiatives that integrate public health with biodiversity conservation, medicinal plants, and sustainable livelihoods.

He has played a pivotal role in promoting the integration of AYUSH systems and local health traditions with public health, research, education, and policy. His work has empowered communities through nature-based healthcare practices while strengthening the link between ecological conservation and human well-being. A strong advocate of transdisciplinary learning, Prof. Hariramamurthi continues to champion collaborative approaches that bridge science, traditional wisdom, and community participation. His current work focuses on developing sustainable, community-centred models that foster health, biodiversity conservation, and holistic wellness for present and future generations.
